How is that government's problem? I don't need or want a government that thinks it's proper role is to protect me from myself.

We put babies in cribs, playpens, and swings from which they cannot climb out to ensure their safe environment. The cribs often have soft padding all around the mattress to keep their little heads off the bars. We put cabinet locks, oven locks, toilet lid locks, and nursery gates across doorways to keep from them anything that we deem unsafe for them. We are adults and are not in need of such protection. Sadly, there are some so-called adults who may not need it but who want it, rather than to make their own decisions and take responsibility for themselves.

Count me out of that latter group!

And last I heard, guns could be sorta dangerous too. Maybe we should have the government do something about them, while it's protecting us...
