Well let me show you what that little nine tenths of a cent does. 3.859 Price per gallon $20.00 Total price paid 5.194805195 Gallons that you would get if it was truly $3.85 5.183 Gallons that you get with it being $3.859 0.011805195 Difference in gallons 9000 Gallons in a tanker truck, per week delivered 106.2467532 Gallons saved per week for the gas station 3.859 Price per gallon $410.01 Extra sales per week 52 Weeks in a year $21,320.32 Extra sales per year for ONE store 25 Stores for the state $533,008.09 Extra sales per year for 25 (one state) stores 50 States in the USA $26,650,404.35 Extra sales per year for the entire USA $26,650,404.35 Extra sales per year for the entire USA - an extra $27 million in annual sales. All for just one measly 9/10ths of a cent. Welcome to America.

   | The volume of gas that's dispensed can vary according to temperature and humidity, as well as other factors. I saw a recent study that was done in Indiana and it showed that in most cases, the balance of inequality was generally in the customer's favor. Of course, it's up the the Bureau of Weights and Measures to accurately test gas pumps to be sure that they're dispensing withing established parameters.

| ^True but that is BS to a point. I used to pump fuel for the Indy Racing league. We had to test our pumps at every track. Some of them were cold in the morning. Some were hot all day. The temp of the alcohol varied. We were always spot on + / _ .001 of a gallon. Never touched the pump.

| Thats interesting. My cell and my excell sheet are both showing 5.19 instead of 5.18. Although my calcualtor on my cpu is showing 5.18 Interesting. Even if I didn't get screwed. I guess this goes to show you what 9/10 of a cent does huh?

| It's 1:34 in the morn and I've been at work for 8 hours now so I could be wrong but.... I did the math on my Computer calculator and I got 20.00(paid) / 3.859(Price/Gallon) = 5.1826898160145115314848406322882 (Gallon recieved). Round the .0000 and that makes it 5.183.
