In our family there is the story of the time the dog came running back to camp .......with a Kodiak bear in tow. Yesterday I took one look at my dog out on the deck and got one of the shotguns filled slugs before I even stepped out to see what he was locked on. A dog in bear country that runs away from bears Is just a lawn ornament. Today I was carrying while I was fishing. I am not getting mauled by a bear or any damn animal.
