    That just applies to Indiana. Although, there is a move on in the state senate to allow bronze pointed spears. This is especially encouraging after last year's stick bow debacle....


    Much more efficient than the fire hardened hickory we were forced to use in years past. Although it IS all about puncture placement. Regardless of the caliber of your spear.

    Pistol caliber spears can be used statewide, but high powered spear use is limited to private property. I predict a total decimation of the woolly mammoth herd and many accidental spearings if allowed to use high powered spears. High powered spears are total overkill and no one should be permitted to use them. Just because other states like Kentucky and Pennsylvania allow their use without incident doesn't mean that Hoosier spear chuckers can be trusted to use them responsibly.
