Taurus 1911 rebate

I bought my pt1911 new at the gunshow on the 26th of october. i am very happy with the gun, but I just found out about this rebate.

I have already sent in the warranty registration card because it had to be sent in within 10 days of purchasing the gun, but I would like to still get the $75 rebate. but the warranty card is one of the required pieces of information to get the rebate.

So today I called taurus and to make a long story short the guy on the phone wasnt helpful at all.

The information I did get from him was that its a third party doing the rebate, they dont have a phone number that anyone at taurus knows of, and no one in the office knows if i can get the rebate without the warranty card.

should i go ahead and try to send the rest of the information with a note explaining that my warranty card was already sent in?
