    I have a chance to buy a CZ 40B for $400.

I'd never heard of one before, apparently it was a joint project between CZ and Colt that fell through. It looks like a combination CZ Rami and 1911.

    Anyone know anything about these?

I would probably get the cz40b if it was like new condition. If not, I'd try to get the price lower.

    It would probably be a toss up between a Cz40 and a 75b in .40 s&w.

I bet if they were side by side, immaculate condition, same price, etc.
I probably would still choose the 40b just for something different. I could always find the 75b in that caliber some other time. The 40b is obviously not as common.

That's what appealed to me about it. It's unusual. It looks pretty cool, too. Everyone who has used one seems to like the way it shoots. Shocking, coming from CZ.

Yeah. I think if I had the extra money I'd buy it.

I've seen more Colt branded pistols like the cz 40 for sale than the CZ.

But I think I have a cz virus that I'm not able to shake. I just don't see anything else I want right now since you've made your OP. Except maybe a cz97, P01, SP01, and oh yeah, the Czechmate.

I'm waiting for them to make their Scorpion Evo into a semi auto and sell it over here. That's got to be the coolest 9mm carbine ever invented.

Their 805 Bren is pretty cool, too.

I used to have a CZ-40B. I only paid a hair over $300 new, though. I liked it quite a bit. It was reliable. About the only problem I had was finding a holster. I ended up using a Galco open top holster made for a full-sized SIG. Oddly enough, it worked and held the pistol tightly.

I had one too and it was a great pistol but a little too hard to get holsters, sights etc for so I traded it for a Glock 23.

I have one, very good gun, is a cz-75 inside.. so parts can be had if needed, takes 75 mags (40 cal)
only problem is holsters, use leather SIG ones, on have custom ones made for it..
