| Kel Tec PF9 I've handled these pistols, but I got to shoot one the first time last Saturday. They sure are lightweight and small. The trigger pull was a long double action, but not too heavy and real smooth. The recoil was noticeable and brought the gun up and to the right pretty far off target, but the gun didn't shift in my hand and I didn't feel any pain. We were only shooting the pistol at 33 ft. At that distance, off-hand, we didn't have any trouble keeping all the shots in a 5-6" group, and I think with a little more trigger time we would have been able to shrink that group a couple of inches. We had two of these pistols at the range. One shot about a foot high and the other shot just about 4" too high. There were no malfunctions. The magazines appear to be of a very high quality. The only major complaint I have with the pistol is that the magazine release didn't completely release the mag. When pushing the mag. release, I had to pull the magazine out with my fingernails. Everything considered, for under $300.00, it is a pretty good bargain for a carry pistol, as long as you don't need a quick reload. |
