Members of gunboards make suggestions to each other all the time. I made suggestions regarding a holster so that the OP could consider whether another holster might be a better choice. I stand by my suggestions as I believe they are accurate. If I purchased that holster thinking it would make a good carry holster, I hope I would be lucky enough to have someone point out its shortcomings to me. It might save my life.

Again, if the picture the OP posted accurately represents the holster's coverage of the pistol's grip, then it will be an issue regardless of how much he practices.

What you call "options" are "basics" for a holster to be used for daily carry. If the pistol is just range gun for plinking, the above holster is fine. But the OP is doing himself a disfavor if he carries the pistol in that holster for defensive purposes.

Also, I took another look at the photos and I am even more sure that the OP cannot acquire a proper firing grip before he draws the pistol from the holster and yes, that is a big issue.

Even if the OP can only afford a $15 holster, Uncle Mike's line of inside the pants holsters cost about that much and are probably considerably better concealed carry holsters than what he's bought.

Additionally, for another ten dollars or so, all of the features designed can be obtained in a Fobus paddle holster. Not the best, by any means, but still not a bad holster.

Fobus is literally the worst holster I ever owned and I would never recommend them -

I agree with the Uncle Mike's idea though.

I like the holster, isn't that what matters? I practice unholstering it in a timely manner and I can get it out probably just as fast as any other holster, plus I have two kids and I want the gun in there SECURE. I also would think it would be harder for an attacker to draw my weapon not knowing the thumbbreak was there.
