Thoughts on the Ruger P90/P97?

I searched and didn't really find many threads directly relating to either of these guns, but if there is sorry.

Does anyone own one of either of these? I was reading some reviews on them and almost all of them had outstanding praise for them. What are your feelings on it? I am kind of inclined towards the P90 because of its having an aluminum frame. I've shot a glock and an XDm and didn't like the feel of either at all (I can't really pin it down but I just don't like it). The heavier gun probably has less felt recoil but that's not really that important as it would likely just be a range gun rather than a defensive weapon. But yeah anyone who has any thoughts post it here. thanks

edit - well for some reason i missed it when I was looking through the search results but there is a thread on the first page of this forum that is talking about the p94...

I guess if this is too close go ahead and lock it.

my first handgun was a p97 with the polymer frame. probably has at least 2000 rounds thru it without a single ftf or fte. i love that gun, i bought it used from a family friend and it was the same for him. she might not be the prettiest girl at the dance but it just plain works. marvelous piece of american craftsmanship

overbuilt yes, ugly not to me but some say. its like a tank, it probably wont fail but if it does you can always hit the guy with it.
