i think i have a mag issue with my 1911

i went to take a handgun class and when i used my chip mccormick and got to the last round in the mag it would feed the round and fire but the spent brass wouldnt eject. it would get wedged back in the mag and the slide would come forward and then smash the brass. here are some pics of what i am dealing with. i think its the fallower thats the problem cause even my cheap $8 colt knock off mags are better than this $25 mag did i just get a messed up mag or are they all junk like this. i got a novak, kimber, 2 colt knockoffs and they all function just fine but the chip works fine until the last round comes up. hmmm. would it be best to get them to send me a new mag or a new spring and follower?

I have had this issue before i had 2 of the 10 power clips from mccormick i also have had feed issues too i switched to all wilson combat clips and i havn't had a single prob since.

I love my CM mags. Have never had a problem. If this is a new magazine, I would say they would make it right....

I used McCormick for a while but went to Wilson Elite Tactical Mags, they are pricey but worth it in my mind.

I use Tripp Research Cobra mags and the super 7 upgrade kits. These are great mags cost about the same as Wilson but I like the Tripp follower better.

I couldn't say that there isn't a problem with that mag. However, I use CM mags exclusively. The eight mags I use have put a few thousand rounds down range without flaw. I've certainly had a gun issue or two, but nothing I could attribute to mags.

I have had more than one 1911 that didnt like Chips mags.... Colt, SA & Kimber..... I only use the Wilson #47 series and never have an issue. I leave factory mags in the boxes and the Wilsons see both range and carry duty.
