    Okay everybody seems to love there Range Officers both 45 and 9MM what about the 45 compact is it a keeper also or not so much? Whats your favorite in more of a compact 1911 in 45?

    It's pretty nice. Heavy bull barrel, FO front sight, aluminum frame... perfect for carry!

    It also features a compact (Officer's size) frame mated to the 4" Commander-length upper. This is a somewhat uncommon design that gives the best of both worlds for carry and shooting. Kimber makes one called the Compact Aluminum Stainless, but it is much more expensive. We have sold a couple of the RO Compacts and they appear to be pretty well executed.
