GSG Mags in a Ciener 1911 Conversion

Anyone using GSG magazines in a Ciener 1911 conversion, or other aluminum kit without provisions for hold-open-on-empty (i.e. Kimber... have even heard of peening issues with the GSG/SIG models too I guess...)? If so, have you been having any issues with peening in the slide stop notch? Has anyone found a way to deal with this? Anyone adding the steel insert that Advantage Arms uses?

havent used the gsg mags in my ciener 45/22 conversion, but i now use the mags from nelson custom. they are plastic and fit with very minor adapting, and they work GREAT. drop like 45 mags are supposed to. initially only hold 10 rounds but slight work and now hold 14 rounds. cheaper than the ciener mags too, only $25
