    I don't know the OP but I think I might hate him. OK, maybe not hate but jealous. I see he lives in my town so at least it is good to know WalMart is safe.

    OP - Sweet shooter ya got, there... I've owned two over the years and both were solid performers. Knowing VERT, I can testify that he's just a gun whore and is a little envious of anyone that has a pretty 1911 model that he's never had in his safe. (FULL DISCLOSURE: If I hadn't already been an owner, I would be too.):rockwoot:

    The TRP is nice and very well made, but the thing I didn't care for was the front strap texture and the grips.
    Much too aggressive. First thing I thought to myself when I picked it up was "I will need gloves to shoot more than 50 rounds out of this".
    Felt like I was holding on to a bundle of steak knives.

    Why did Springfield do such a rough texture on the TRP but none of it's other models??
