My Xmas Gift to myself - new AR pistol!

Every year, I take my holiday bonus and buy myself something nice. This year, it came in the form of a new AR pistol build. I am LOVING this one....

Utilizing all the Black Friday and Holiday deals, I was able to build this for right about $700

Nope. Guns registered as pistols are just that: pistols.

There are probly some other details that I'm leaving out but that firearm in the OP is a pistol and be legally treated as such.

It is an ar pistol with an arm brace. No stock at all.

I'm having a real tough time deciding between a 7.5" and a 10.5" barrel. Ive heard alot of not so good about 5.56/.223 out of a 7.5" but man they are so tiny!

Somebody step in if I'm wrong, but I remember hearing that .223 out of the short barrels is comparable to a .38

Maybe, but accuracy and cycling becomes an issue if not adjusted correctly. Also apparently loud and concussive to the point of it being ridiculous. I just haven't figured out if I want one that works right away, (10.5" at the sacrifice of a longer overall length), or one I MAY have to fiddle with before it works well, (7.5" nice and little overall). I'm building the upper, as well, instead of buying one, hence my dilemma.

I have one in .556 picked it up a few months ago and haven't had time to break it in yet.
