Oh, sure, you've admired the Ruger SP101 from afar, your heart racing, your palms sweaty, but you just don't have the resources to make a commitment.

So, you, like all gun nuts, used the Standard Out that has echoed in gun shops across the land, say it with me, INGO: "I like that gun, but wish they made it in a different caliber."

Your excuse has now disappeared as Ruger makes the SP101 in .327FedMag.

I think they have made the SP101 in 327 in the past. Is this a 4" model? Would make a nice "kit gun".

I like that gun but I wish .327 fed mag was a more prolific caliber. How's that?

The 327 mag never caught on. Not very popular at all. Kinda like 6.8spc. It's out there but not too many buyers. I think it a fudd move on rugers part

I want one of those. It fills that empty spot for my ideal carry revolver after handling a Colt Police Positive. Having six shots in a carry revolver that is in a decent package is great. I hope it's under $600 at the shops.

The article in the OP should read Ruger "re-introduces" the .327 fm in a newer model SP101. They are taking another go around at it after a hiatus from the original introduction that was first offered in a previous model SP101 and I guess it was also offered in the GP100 and a Blackhawk SA version.

All I want is the Wiley Clapp SP101 in a 3" barrel. Please. Would purchase! To my eyes that is the best looking package of the SP101 ever but I really prefer the 3" barrel so I will wait and hope for one one day.

If they chambered it in the No. 1 Single Shot rifle, and subtracted out some weight...it would be a dandy American "rook rifle."

    Now how's that for useless?

I have been desiring a Ruger SP101 or a GP100 in .327 for sometime now. It would round out the little set I have - Taurus M327, 2" barrel hammerless, and a Ruger Single Seven, 4 5/8. I thoroughly enjoy the round. Sellers have been offering both Rugers for over $1k on Gunbroker. This might bring used prices down to a reasonable level. I was hoping to get a 3" barrel, but if used prices stay sky high I will get a new one with a 4" barrel.

Have had a SP101 in .327 for several years. Good little gun. Done nothing to it except put on Hogue grip. The new offering has different sights, not sure if other changes. I personally like the .327 cartridge but not a lot to choose from. Loaded with low power .32 rounds the gun works well for new revolver shooters to learn on.

The .327 in way underrated. Especially for handloaders. Take it from *****cat to wildcat with a turn of the powder measure. Great for porcupines.

Oh great. I managed to restrain myself when the .327 SP101 came around the first time. Temptation get thee behind me.

I do think the SP101 looks best in the 3" barrel. I guess I could find a gunsmith who could....NO! NO! TURN MINE EYES AWAY!
