This is my 1911th post and I couldn't waste it on anything except a post on 1911's :D

I've posted this pic before, but here are my 1911's:

The SR1911 now has a nice set of VZ grips and gets carried in a Galco Combat Master:

I added MagPul grips on the TacOps, with the super scoop:

The Loaded doesn't look any different, but I did have churchmouse do a trigger job for me and the results are sublime. I'm loving my 1911's and would one day like to pick up another to add to my collection.

I had to post this, because I love this pic... :):

Nice collection. I think you need to add a midsize 1911 to the family. One of my favorite carry guns is a 4 inch Commander or Officer sized 1911. A Commander size 1911 with a rounded butt makes a great carry gun. Shaving that little bit off each end is just enough to make a big difference in how it feels to carry, yet comes with almost no cost. An Officer sized 1911 with an aluminum frame is a great carry gun and is nice to shoot unless you are really recoil sensitive. There's not much of a difference, but the lighter weight might be felt by some. You do lose a round of capacity in an Officer sized 1911 though.

Or, you could take your collection in a different direction and add an old Colt or Remington Rand WWII era pistol.

Thanks all. Yeah Tim, I've been considering a Officer sized 1911, but haven't made any decisions yet. As much as I love 1911's, I also eventually want to pick up my first revolver and I have the CZ-ickness as well and want another CZ. Too many guns, too little money... :):

Go with the roundbutt Smith. Only issue I have with mine is the titanium firing pin doesn't mix it up with high primers. That is not the guns fault, I should QC my reloads better.

Is this gun series 70 or 80? Couldn't find the info on their site...

Loose definition but 70 series in that the PC guns do not have a firing pin safety. Hence the reason for the titanium firing pin. I don't think the E series do either. The regular SW1911 has a little lever connected to the grip safety to block the firing pin.

Naw I think I would rather have that 23lb trigger gun with no sights!psyko

I would get a Sig Nightmare Fastback, except that I don't care much for the series 80 stuff. I shot OkieGirl's SW1911 at the group shoot and thought it was really nice. The gun is a real beauty.

The next itch I plan to scratch will, I hope, appease my CZickness along with my 1911itis along with my desire to get back into a compact 1911. I'm planning on getting a Dan Wesson CCO. Probably not going to happen this year but it will be my next handgun purchase.
