The article mentions that it fires both barrels at the same time for awesome firepower! That also makes it a machine gun so you can't buy one.

The article states that it has two independent triggers, therefore NOT a machinegun. Both barrels can be fired at the same time but would require simultaneous trigger pulls.

But the slide seems to be solid and would eject the unfired round from the second barrel.

I only posted this as a curiosity. I think it is a stupid design.

I have not shot one but I have handled a few, I transferred them for some friends a few months back.

I have held one and 4K has to be a F-in joke on this item. I would not give $1500 for it. At 4K+ (Ive seen several on GB for 7K... SMH). I can spec a full custom from Bunker, Business End, Evolution Army, Infinity, and several others for under than price. I personally wouldn't have this piece of crap in my collection. (And my collection speaks for it self).

Novelty item at best... at a joke of a price.

Janna Reeves posted a picture of herself with her 2011 earlier today. She said it's " a huge improvement for me in terms of my speed and accuracy in a competition setting."

This is one of those "game-changers" we used to hear so much about (on a weekly basis) -

I hope that isn't trademarked - not sure I could afford the price to use the phrase.

I'm not sure why any 1911 fan would actually want one of these... It's not even a 1911 to be honest.

for the same price I'll gladly take a pistol built by one of my favorite smiths speced to my liking...

People vote for Democrats, so why not buy a gun like this...
I've seen one in person and yes, it's ridiculous.
Definitely a novelty range toy type thing, but kudos for the designer to bring something like this from concept to a physical product in the market.
