Just wanting some opinions form you Sig Sauer owners your favorite Sig and why? Just really thinking about a fun gun and have looked at the 229 Stainless Elite 45 also have looked at the Tac Ops in 45 or 9MM. Would want the SRT trigger. Just a range gun, have plenty of carry options. Thanks

Only ever owned a P226. It was made in the 90's I'm guessing. I never looked to deeply into the mfg date, but it came with 10 rd nags and didn't have a rail. Seemed to be a little better put together than some of the newer ones I've handled. But that could be anecdotal. Truth be told, I've never touched a Sig I didn't love.

The next one I get will probably be a 226 Tacops. Maybe a 227 tacops.

Jumping on this thread as my next purchase will be a 226 of some variant. I will sell my M&P first, then kick the extra money for the Sig. Hopefully I will have decided by then!:)

I'm really looking at the Nitron. I don't need fancy, just functional. I will want to add the SRT though and have it worked some if possible.

I have the 226 in 40 but would like to get a 229. Slightly smaller and higher capacity in the 9mm.

Not sure about price range or hand size...
9mm- the P226 is pretty much the go to model although I really like my M11-a1.
45- if you have big paws, I would look at the P227. If you like the size of a single stack grip then go with the P220.

Have the P320 in 9mm, will be picking up same in .45 once LGS gets one.

Have owned P226, 227 (wish I'd not sold it, but love my HK45), P239. SRT is a great trigger, just didn't like the feel of the guns as much as my HKs, M&Ps, & now P320. However, they were each 100% Flawless.

Have been eyeing a P229, maybe I've got a sickness!

Sig 1911 Extreme is a very nice 1911 for the money.

I carried a SIG 220 45 as well as a SIG 228 9mm for duty. There is no such thing as a bad SIG 220 series but Those are proabbly my 2 favorites. I have tens of thousands of rounds through the SIG 228 as a duty gun and all of ours ran and ran and we were not gentle with them.

I really like my M11A1 and my P290, the M11 makes a great suppressor host. Had a P210 on order for a while but after the Sig-Germany-embargo thing I kind of gave up hope for it, and optics kept popping up. Can't wait for my MPX to get here.

Wouldn't mind picking up a 239 Tactical one day, they feel so damn good. A 220 is another on the list
