Yeah I have but I had to give you guys hell. They are all the same damn thing I just like the grip angle of the XD better it feels better in my hand.

This was a brand new reloader who over charged his reloads. That will kb about any gun. The case web actually blew out not further up the case where it is thinner like it would in an unsupported Glock chamber. Find me a XD kb with factory ammo. There may be some out there, but glocks are equal opportunity kaboomers reloads or factory.

I do agree that there are not enough steps. There is no guarantee that the Glock will KB... But, who knows.

Aren't Glock KBs caused by reloads too? Weakened casings IIRC.

So, what's the difference? I thought the XD with it's supported chamber wasn't succeptible to a KB? What other fantastic attributes do you hold to be true for the XD that will be proven wrong someday?

That's what they want you to think. Glocks KB surprisingly often with factory ammunition.

I doubt if anyone has said a fully supported chamber can't blow up. However, it takes something like drastically over charging a reload to do it. A fully supported chamber can adequately contain normal pressures. An unsupported chamber relies partly on the thin brass to contain that pressure. If there is any chance that a gun will KB with with factory ammunition it won't be in my holster. It is easy to blame the ammo. It will take some humility to see that "perfection" may be flawed.

I am waiting for anything I have clained about XDs to be proven wrong. Again, I would like to see an example of an XD kabooming the factory ammunition.

Where is this story of the Glocks blowing up, or having major failures? I'd like to read it so as to avoid some pitfall in care or use that I may be performing.
