I really hope that safety isnt going to be something on all their guns.

They already have a grip safety and their pistols are so simple.

I'm pretty sure it is an option.
Glock, Springfield, Smith&Wesson, Taurus all threw their feather into the hat the last time SOCOM went looking for a new hand gun. The requirements included a manual thumb safety. Since all of these companies have high R&D expenses when it comes time to build something for the Army, they usually also release a Civilian version to help recoup their costs.

the Glock had to change the profile of their handle, and add a thumb safety as well.

I wouldn't take an XD45 with a thumb safety even if it was free. Well, okay, i'd take it but immediately sell it off NIB and buy a Glock. Four safeties is three safeties too many.
