So the girlfriend and I are looking into some Sigs. And was wondering if anyone has some info or experience with these first hand before we pull the trigger on these!

Before the comments on why not a P226, I already have a M&P 9 that I carry and love, and she has the 9c.

I much prefer rifles so I'd rather spend the $1000+ on a rifle than a pistol. We just want to add some Sigs in the collection.

She has a Sig Mosquito 22 and loves it but really wants a 9 so she found the Sig 320, and I love the style of the SP2022 looks just like the P226 (with differences I know, polymer frame, take down lever and such) but would just like some first hand experience!!

    Thank you!

I've had both in 9mm. The 320 is easier to conceal, but i prefer the 2022. The 2022 is like a lighter weight p229 in my opinion. The 320's trigger is great for a striker fired gun. It really boils down to da/sa vs striker fired. My votes 2022, but thats 100% personal preference.

I have both a 226 and a 320 and I like the 320 a lot for carry. Striker Fired hasn't been my favorite but this one I like a lot.

I've got both, a 2022 and a 320. To me the 2022 is sized right between a 226 and 229, it's lighter, and the controls are for the most part function the same as a 226. It's a good 226/229 alternative for half the price. So far I've been really impressed with the 320, especially since I'm not a big striker fan. Great trigger, accurate, and just a good shooting pistol. Plus the modularity is nice with being able to swap the fcg into different frame/slide sizes. I'd say both are good buys!

I shot Warthog's 320 recently. I liked it OK, but didn't fall in love with it.

I have never shot the 2022, but the last couple of years SIG has run some killer deals on them around black Friday. If I recall, Rural King had them last year with night sights and a laser just north of $400. If I find a similar deal in the next few months I will be picking one up.

If you leaning 2022, wait a few months.

The SP2022 is a great gun for the money. I have a P229 in .40 and shot a guy's SP2022 .40 at the range a month or so ago and really enjoyed it. I prefer all metal guns, but for poly it was pretty nice. I've always been tempted to get one when I've seen the various sales that MCgrease08 mentioned. They were just recently on sale somewhere for right around $400 if I recall correctly. If you want to buy used you can get one around $400 now. Otherwise check out slickguns.com and you'll see if they pop up on sale. Or check GunWatcher.com occasionally. Make sure you watch out for the MA compliant guns. Any sold with a 10 round mag is a red flag.

The 2022 is Sig's unsung hero. I had and carried the 2022 in 9mm for a year and a half. Superb pistol for $400 and laser accurate, at least mine was. You'd be hard pressed to find a quality pistol for the money that's better than the 2022.

Rural King has the SP2022 on sale right now for $399.99. It has the 10 round mag. I have not checked, but if they take the same mags as the 226, then Greg Cote has Mec-Gar mags at a good price.

Okay, I checked. They are not the same mag. But, Midway carries Sig mags for the 2022 for $39.99. Only problem is they are on back order. :(

Mecgar makes 17rd mags for the 2022

There you go. If I bought a 2022, I'd have at least 8 to 10 Mec-gar mags for it. The only problem I see with buying a pistol with the crappy 10 round mags is the cost to replace them. Mec-gar mags usually run about $20.

I love the FDE/black two tone on that gun. As you say, it's a very tempting deal, even with tax. Would go well in my Sig collection :D

I friend was over recently to shoot, and his wife had a 320 in FDE. I almost bought one then. I really could use a real Sig in my collection. 2 P238s, and a P938 just don't seem like the real thing.

I've become a Sig fanboy, with a P226 MK25, P227, P938, M11-A1, and finally P320 Compact. The 320 has become my favorite and most carried piece. I've been looking to add the SP2022 for years, just for the cool factor.

Don't think the 2022 will make the cool factor...Now an X5 on the other hand...
