![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just picked up a P-3AT I stopped by PSS on the way home from work....(I have too many posts that start this way )I have been looking at getting a small pocket pistol. They had a few itty bitty .25's but I am not a fan of the .25. They had a few Kel Tec's in .32 which I considered because my wife likes to shoot her .32. I liked the idea of not adding another caliber. Well as I weighed my options I decided I would just go with the .380 platform. Now it was down to which one. There were 3 Kel Tecs in the case, grey, od, and black. A ruger lcp and some bersa's. I wanted something small so I was deciding between the lcp and the P3AT when I finally just asked Bob. I asked if there was any reason I should spend $100 more on the LCP other than name and looks. He did admit that the LCP looks a little better and feels a little better, however he said he owns 4 P3AT and has not yet bought the Ruger. He also said that Ruger bought the patent for the gun and basically just redesigned the exterior. Seriously, how often does a salesmen tell you to take the option that is $239 opposed to the option that is $339? I walked out with a box of Pow'r Ball and a box of FMJ, the gun, and a pocket holster with tax for less than the LCP. (disclaimer, Bob does have some 380 ammo, however due to it being one caliber that he cannot keep in stock he is limiting the sale to when you buy a gun. I know some may not like this but well it's his shop. I was still limited to a box of HP and a box of FMJ) I probably won’t post pics because I am lazy and well I think all of you know what a plain black P3AT looks like. Now for some range time! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i like the p3at platform, but the concept proved better than the reality for me. i love the convenience of it, but its got some snap to it. let me know what you think.

I will, I will. My thinking is this, my other pocket/BUG is my airweight S&W snubby. With +p rounds it has more than snap to it. Naturally it is a carry a lot gun, shoot a little gun.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It is pretty snappy to hold while shooting, but it's hard to beat the whole package. Small reliable package with reasonable fire power that can disappear in your pocket. I like mine.

![]() | Sweet man! I bought the same gun about 5 months ago and the only problems I'm having is that my gun doesn't feed hollowpoints reliable enough. As for target ammo it feeds perfect. Let me know if yours is the same way because if its not I'll send mine in to get repaired. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I love my P3AT, it goes everywhere I go. I have made a holster from a leather business card holder that from one side looks like a wallet. It holds the gun and a spare magazine and dissappears in my pocket. It does have some snap and is a carry a lot, shoot a little piece. Every couple of weeks, I pull the slide off, blow dust out and lubricate it and hope I never need to use it.

I know in my wifes Taurus .32 we only use FMJ. I figured at that point penetration is best?
