Hey everyone! So I am trading my M&P9 for a Glock 22 40 Gen 3... Can anyone give me some feedback on the 22? This is my first Glock and first 40... So I am really curious on how this thing does!

    Thank you guys in advance.

I've carried one on duty for nearly 15 years. It's comfortable to shoot and carries plenty of rounds. It's not too snappy and fits my hand well.

Funny you're going from an m&p to the glock, I did the same thing a few years ago. I now have 3 glocks, all 40. I'm sure you'll be very pleased with it. I agree with denny347, it feels nice and solid in the hand and shoots great. Good luck with it

We had issued G22s. Fine weapons, great capacity. They had a little snap when fired, but not uncontrollable. Carried well, and also had a G27 for a backup. Both could use the G22 mags(15 rds).
    I EDC a G19 now, but would carry a G22, 0r a G27 in a moments notice. No issues wth mine.
    Good luck.

I think most people will find the G22 snappy. But going from a G22 to a G19, and you'll be asking "where's the recoil?" I still carry .40 off-duty (G23).... I'm a fan of the caliber, and the G22.

I am NOT anti glock, but I am PRO, S&W .....

If not I still have a 9c that I carry daily. I like Glock but I love the feel of the Smith... if Glock could pull the feel of a smith off it would be hard to beat in my book

Some of the best shooting I've done was with a Glock 22. I'll see if I can find a video of me shooting my old one. Looking back, I sort of wish I would've kept it.

If you don't like the recoil characteristics of the 40, you can always convert it to a Glock 17 pretty easily.

Glock 22 is a great gun. The only bad thing about Glocks are they are like potato chips, you cant have just 1. There is also a theory that they sprinkle cocaine on them at the factory to get you addicted :):dunno:

I was looking at a retired police G22 at the 1500 today. I've never been a fan, but for some reason, the one today kind of caught my eye. If I did not have a P09 in .40 I'd seriously consider adding one to the family to go along with my G23. I might add one someday just because.
