![]() ![]() ![]() | Carry Pistol for 350.00? Ok, I posted a recent question about the glock 23 vs 27. I am wanting to start carrying more often and at times think the 23 can be a bit big to conceal well. I just dont know if I can part with my 23. I have total confidence in the gun when i have it in my hands. So my new question is, are there any good carry guns I can pick up for around 300-350.00 or even cheaper? I tried this same process about 5 months ago and got a Bersa .380 from Bradis. I loved the gun for the first 45 rounds and then I had the dreaded disconnector spring issue. Sent it back to get serviced and after 15 rounds happened again. I lost all confidence in the gun which is a shame as i loved the feel. Bradis was good and gave me full credit toward a new Taurus Pro ill 9mm. I tried to shoot it multiple times but could never get close to shooting as accurate as the bersa or my glock. So I sold it. Any other suggestions? |

![]() | Get a small revolver with a summer comfort IWB holster. Works well for summer covert carry. I use a Taurus CIA .38 Spl +P which is hammerless and very light weight. Can buy new for about $350.00. Holster for about $45.00.

![]() My recommendation at the $350 level would be a S&W .38 snubbie.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have two options that were both less than $350: 1) Taurus PT111 in 9mm - can CCW with an IWB holster with untucked T-shirt or similar. This is my daily carry. 2) Taurus .38 spl ultralite snubby (their copy of the S&W). I can carry this in my pants pocket if needed without holster, or in an IWB or pancake holster. This is my wife's carry gun, but I'll carry it when she isn't and I need something a bit smaller than the PT111. If you only had $350 to spend once, the .38 snubby would probably be the way to go, especially since you already have some good Glocks. But to throw a bit of a wrinkle in there...there is a .32 H&R mag in the same frame size, that gives you 6 rounds instead of 5, and has similar terminal ballistics. Ammo is a bit harder to find, and more expensive.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think the 19/23 is the perfect carry gun. there isnt enough of a difference to me to want the smaller size. I know ppl throw a fit sometimes and others love it, but have you messed with a P3AT? I ran a box through mine when i 1st got it to make sure i was used to it and so i could make sure that it runs fine. Since then ive shot many boxes through it and its never stopped once. Its light and flat, so it goes well in the front pocket of jeans and shorts. I hope you check one out. |

![]() | Actually I agree with Exile, a compact Glock is a perfect carry gun..just get a good holster and wear a loose shirt with print. I only carry the revolver occassionly and I can pocket mine since there is no hammer.
