Any XD owners, or others ever using or try a low profile slide stop? I seem to hold my thumbs forward and my right thumb lands right on the slide release. Often times the slide lock does not engage on the last round because of this. This slide release from Springer Precision is slimmed down and designed to help with this, and I am considering giving it a try.

I have the same problem. I thought about a low pro release. But I would hate to spend the money and not have the results I wanted. During a training class, the instructor suggested I change my grip.

So I've switched to a thumbs-up grip. Both my XDm and XDs were a problem. It's been an on going training thing but I'm there now.

I've also thought about just shaving the release myself but also decided not to do that.

If you do try the low-pro let me know.
