Cz pcr

Just picked up my first non scorpion CZ, the pcr. Are the magazines supposed to drop free? I have seen video of drop free magazines, but a Google search says CZ 75s have a magazine brake.

My Pcr is drop free with both the 14 and 18 round mags. No brake in mine. Right to the ground they go.

You can straighten the mag brake, or replace it with a flat "drop free" version.

So the mag brake is a new feature? I thought they were hanging up on the inside of the rubber grips

guess I should have read the manual before posting, it says they are not supposed to drop free. I was just confused by scootch video showing drop free mags.

Most come without a drop free mag, but it's easy enough to modify it if you want drop free mags. Like Chez says, the mag brake is just that piece of metal at the back of the mag well. Either straighten, remove or buy a flat one. The P07/P09 series don't have anything back there hiding the hammer spring.

I just checked my PCR, and every mag dropped free.

update, mags drop free now after about 200 rounds. Some wear on the mags, so I'm guessing part of the stock rubber grips must have been hanging up

Mine has VZ G10 grips on it. Magazines literally shoot out when I press the mag release.

Cool! I'll bet that the trigger is starting to feel better too. It does not take too long for those to work in if left stock.

Out of curiosity, are there any lines on the mags from say grip screws that were a little too long or tightened down too much?
