They texted me a pic and it looks to be in decent shape. Their narrative: Colt automatic rimless smokeless patent April 28th 1897 made December 22 1903 32 cal. I'm waiting for pics to email to myself so I can load them here. Any range of value. I got excited and haven't even Googled it yet, had to post on INGO...My (kind of) very own "found a gun in the attic" thread. I won't have time to look into it until late this evening but thought the INGO members could chime in prior to that.

Looks pretty bad. I would recommend having it refinished. Maybe Cerakoted winter camo. Then convert it to .25 acp. And add a reflex sight.


Actually it doesn't look all that bad. Little rusty. Does the slide move?

That is a model 1903 "Pocket Hammerless".
The .32acp's were the model 1903.
There were also .380acp versions known as the model 1908 "Pocket Hammerless"

The one you have will bring a $500 bill any day of the week if the bore is in good shape and the grips aren't cracked.

Great score. I love my 1903. Conceals extremely easy.

Also, spare mags are salty. Real Colt mags are stupid expensive.

Colt has actually authorized a reproduction of both the 1908 and the 1903 to be offered.
If you need a mag, or a spare, you might wait just a bit until the reproductions hit the market.
I hope to pick up a couple of spare mags for mine when they come out, as well as one of the newer models.

I was given one of those in 32 ACP after my mom cleaned out grandmas attic. It was in the same shape as the one your parents found. Mine also had a inside the waist holster with a brass clip to catch your waist band. The holster was stiff as a board. Grandpa also had a Colt Army 38 special and a Tokerev pistol he brought back from Europe. We even found his bring back papers for it. That one isn't going anywhere.
