Took the family to the range and had a wonderful time. My Ruger 44 Blackhawk which my brother had customized for me started having issues with the cylinder pin coming out and disallowing the hammer from being drawn all the way through. I tightened the obvious screw but no joy. Any ideas?

Check to see if the beveled groove on the base pin is deep enough and shaped properly for the latch screw to hold it. I've seen these pins walk out when shooting if the groove isn't deep enough or the sides steep enough. It's particularly bad if the revolver is pointing at a down angle.
