New carry gun with porn

Well I have had the itch for a new smaller carry gun for a month or so. I had several on my list and the XD really hadn't been at the top mainly because it didn't excite me kind of boreing I guess. Well I went to the rang today after work with a buddy and his new XD40C and I shot it and really liked it he also had a Desantis holster for it which I tried on and felt it was quite comfortable. So after shooting a couple hundred rounds through his and my G19 I left and stopped by Gander Mountain as my LGS does not stock many Springfield products. I haggeled with the guy and walked out the door with a new XD9SC with a 1 16 round mag 1 10 round mag holster mag holster and the other crap for less than $480. I also picked up a Desantis Cozy buddy IWB holster which fells comfortable. I made it home to run 100 rounds through it and snapped a few pics. So far I like it I like the 10 round mag for carry due to the smaller size and the grip size does not bother me at all as my hands aren't that big. Plus I curl my pinky under the grip, I think I shoot better with the 10 rounder but I didn't shoot enough to know for sure.

I've got an XD45 and it has been a great gun. I almost got a compact XD as well but opted for an M&P compact. I do like the option on the XD for the extended magazine.

The XD9SC is my carry as well. It's almost identical in size, weight, and thickness to a G26. The grip is canted at a slightly different angle. I generally carry with either my new Comp-Tac Minotaur IWB or a Fobus paddle OWB.

I think you will like this as a carry gun. I carry the XD45C and it conceals nicely. I also like it without the extended magazine and shoot better with the 10 rounder. Mine has always cycled perfectly and I have maybe 600 rounds through it. Keep us informed how you like it in the days ahead.

I thought the XD40sc had was nice to shoot it had more muzzle flip than what I was use to with even a .45 but it did shoot well. The 9mm is quicker to recover for a follow up shot. But I guess everyone already knew that.
The Desantis Cozy Partner (sorry i think I called it a buddy earlier) is actually for a G30 but it does fit very well in it. After wearing it all day today I thought it was much more comfortable to carry than my G19 simply due to the shorter grip and lighter weight 10rounds. I got home run another 150 uneventful rounds or so through it and here I am. I am happy with my purchase. Not as happy as when I got my G19 but it does shoot well for such a small weapon. I probably would have been just as happy with the g26 but we will never know until the time comes. I don't get hung up on brands and names, it all depends on how you can shoot the weapon and you feel about it. Heck I would like to have 1 of each in my safe.
By the way after shooting each others guns yesterday my buddy went and bought a new G19 today. It is nice to be able to shoot different weapons before making a decision to put the cash down on one blind.
