Carry Guns - doin' the math

It occurs to me that your sheet may vary depending on the use of the gun, or category. For instance, you wouldn't compare compacts with full size, or carry guns against ones you might only use for home defense or target shooting.

For compacts, width was pretty important to me, but for full sized pistols that is meaningless. I.E. you would likely need separate sheets for each category with some headers different on each.

Much is so dependent on your own biases and how you 'weight' the categories. Trigger smoothness - how do you quantify that? Trigger weight - may not be much of an issue if you plan to get a trigger job anyway etc. etc. etc.

To add a little more nerdiness, you could factor muzzle energy by using this equation:

(((Muzzle Velocity^2)*(0.002285*(Bullet Wgt in Grains))/16))/(2*32.2)

Honestly, I do not see your point! So what if my Xd weighs a tad more. Or may hold a minute amount of rounds less. Does that make Glock better no? Does it make Glock top of the line no? Again it's just dumb science, that has nothing to do with real world self defense, reliability, performance etc. Just like you say about bullet testing. Now do you care if you get shot with a Glock, or an Xd? I believe it's going to suck @@@ either way. I think all you hard core Glock fan boys need to get a room!
