![]() | Hi capacity 1911 I am looking at possibly trading or upgrading to a High Capacity 1911. I would like to know what parts are interchangeable and can I get night sights and other goodies for the larger 1911. also are grip options limited. Thanks. |

These guns are pretty modular and can be customized in just about every way. I have an STI 2011 that was customized by Brazos. I don't have night sights and did not want them so I cannot comment on that specifically.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't know what you are looking for in a pistol but I've owned and shot Para's and my favorite of the lot was the P16-40 Limited. I used it for competition not for carry, The limited compared to the standard pistol IMO is a huge cut above. I am not impressed by the standard para but the refinements available in the Limited make it a much more attractive gun. I've never owned but shot and shot against the STI's, The STI's are exactly what you make them, and you can dump some cash into them. If you don't mind me really screwing you up, After years of shooting my Para and just not shooting as well as I would have like I switched to a EAA Witness Match. Its a 1911 like but better ergonomics for my hand its got 1911 controls but a lower center of recoil and has faster recovery. There are more variation of the Witness and in general the CZ75 than you can count but IMO dollar for dollar the Witness out shoots the High cap 1911's But when you get into taking the gun to a good smith there are more things available for the 1911, Decide if your going to take the gun as is, or do what true 1911 geeks do and get a perfectly good gun and start tearing parts off of it. Or do like me have one of each and enjoy the each for its individual strong points
