| Expert | Anybody have anything good to say about Hi-point pistols? I see some really good prices on Hi-Point handguns; everything from 380ACP, 9MM, 40S&W up to 45ACP. I know some people like their Carbine but don't read much on the rest of their line. I know they are "low end" firearms but what else about them? ![]()

I hear they have GREAT warranty service, cheap, and some people say they have some that just keep on going and going. Oh, and ![]() All gun manufacturers can make a lemon, it's really what you want the Hi-point to do that'll make it right for you or not.

![]() | From what I have gathered from people I know that have owned and/or fired one, they are ok guns. I think the price point is what makes them interesting. I think if you can afford more $$, there are many better choices. But if your budget only allows for a Hi Point, then I guess that is what you should go with. |

![]() | I have a friend that has purchased several hi points over the years. For the money I think they are a decent weapon. But like it has been said the pistols are ridiculous in size. I remember seeing a Hi-point chambered in .380 ACP that was as big as a HK USP. I didn't get that, In my mind a .380 is for a small BUG not a duty size weapon. Personally If I was on a restricted budget, I'd save up a little more and get a used Glock, XD or S&W. Heck you can even pickup some of the lower end S&W autos new for about $350.00. I guess one good thing about the Hi point is if it malfunctions it will make one heck of a club! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | HiPoint options Better "grops" then "gripes". And it says INDIANA gunners but some HOOSIER gunners sneak past the mods from time to time. Then there's 'too/to', 'there/their', 'mag/clip', et al. But know-won iz prefetc. Does the S&W 9x19 mag fit the HiPoint?? Pat
