![]() | FNP-40 DA/SA help? I recently aquired a FNP-40 and it's operation is puzzling to me. The directions state it is a DA/SA pistol and once chambered you can release the hammer with the de-cocker and it will be in DOA, but the de-cocker doesn't work. The FN website doesn't describe another way of operation. The chambered indicator fails to display when a round is chambered? It does fire and the saftey does work. Is this a model that works as a typical 1911 would? What am I missing? **Update 10/30/09** After talking with FN, they said the pistol isn't funtioning properly. They are sending me an RMA and will fix it. 5-6 week turn around sucks but hopefully no problems from here on out. Thanks for your input. I'll post after repair.
