looking for a new handgun to replace my sw9vee

A police trade-in shouldn't set you back too much, and it will still be very serviceable.

i know about the 50 dollar rebate on the new sigma but im trying to see if i can save some money because i took a loss when i sold my old one

You can do better than going back to a Sigma.

If you would prefer to stay in the S&W line, check out the M&P.

Plus, these pistols will hold their value much better, so you won't have to worry about taking much of a hit again if you do decide to sell it down the road.

I would check out the Glock 19 and S&W M&P 9. One of these should suite you well with your familiarity of the SW9VE.

CZ-75 P01 is the only pistol you should be looking at.

I would also add the Ruger SR-9 to your consideration list if CC is one of your needs. As long as the extra safety doesn't bother you, it is similar to the others listed here, but noticeably thinner making it easier to carry.

Can't attest to functionality, but that Ruger is amazingly thin for a double stack.
