![]() | Converting a Glock 23 to 9mm? I can't remember where I read it, but someone on this board mentioned that I can convert my G23 from .40 to 9mm with a simple barrel change? Is that all there is to it, or is there more?..., Like a trigger change as well? I already own a G17, and I love it. Would love a G19, but since I already own the G23..., maybe I backed into a very good thing without knowing it at the time? I know this has been discussed before, so is anyone has a simple link to earlier posts..., I'd appreciate. Go Colts..., hope they don't rely on half-back passes to beat the Texans... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yea I have a 23c and have a conversion barrel from lone wolf distributers. it was like $99.. not treaded or ported. I actually think the ss barrel looks pretty good in the slots on the top of my slide for the factory porting. no other mods are needed 100% drop in def the way to go get two pistol calibers for the price of one + 100 bucks. btw 40 mags will work with 9mm in a pinch but i mostly use a factory glock 19 mag.

![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't see it clarified in the original post, but ONLY DO THIS FOR RANGE PURPOSES. Even with an extractor change, the breechface on the .40 is a bit larger, and can lead to FTE/ Double feeds. I have a 9mm barrel that I use for my 23, and it does work rather well, but only for range duty. If you want to carry with 9mm, you can get a 19 upper and change out the ejector. The recent 23 & 19 frames are identical if I remember correctly. |
