![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's foolhardly to sell a 1911 that functions perfectly unless you have something super serious like medical bills, a mortgage, or food that needs the money applied more than you need the gun. Regardless of what you choose to add (or not), keep the Para 1911 because it works and you know it works. If for no other reason than because you need to have a back-up. You may decide to carry more than one at a time (wise), or your carry gun might break (and they all do sooner or later if you use them), and you'll need something else immediately while you're waiting for the primary to get repaired.

![]() | I carry a Kimber Pro Tactical every day. No problems with finish or holster wear. I have a Para LTC 9mm and the finish is wearing off as a range queen. Nice shooting gun. Fragile finish. You can never have too many 1911's! 10 and counting!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Get a Kimber !!!! To get around the $1K carry gun, look for a nice used Kimber, especially for an original pre Series II pistol or a Series II w/ an internal extractor. You should be able top find one for $600- $800 depending on the model, options and accessories. And you wont regret buying a Kimber. I haven't: ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | I've only ever got rid of one gun. It was a S&W 442 that I traded away a couple of years ago. I still miss it. Keep the Para. Save for the Kimber.

![]() | Guns are made to shoot. Dings and scratches give a gun character. Get the Kimber and wear it. I gave up trying to keep guns perfect. All of mine are shooters. And I don't plan to sell any unless I buy one I don't like. I usually know what I like.
