![]() | I second the S&W 3913. Great gun, meets your criteria, and S&W has among the best, if not the best, customer service you could ever ask for. If cost is a big factor, there are many used 3913's out there at good prices. I have never heard of S&W failing to warranty any of their guns, even if you bought it used. Just stay away from guns that have been modified beyond different sights or grips. If the internals of the gun have been modified, that would probably void the factory warranty. Unless, of course, the modifications were performed by the S&W Performance Center. |

![]() | try the springfield xd 9 or xd 40 in sub or full size. my wife loves to shoot mine. don't do what I did and give her a beretta tomcat .25. although it fit's nicely into her purse and has a flip up barrell. All depends on if it's for self defense or target. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Your going to want something that fits her hands. Thats up to her to decide. But, the CZ-75, the Sig P6, and the Sig 232 are all common held to be great in that regard, and I tend to agree. Most of those guns can be found cheap as well, so that where I would start... but if she says different then be sure you listen.

I know you all will be shocked that I am going to suggest this....a Bersa 9UC It meets ALL of the qualifications you laid out, is around $350, comes with 2 mags, and a Lifetime Warranty. EVERYONE that has shot mine likes it. I have small hands, but it fits me really well. Little percieved recoil, accurate, reliable...just my 2 cents.

![]() | don't rule out Although it is not metal frame don't rule out checking the Taurus PT 111 (a member has one listed here) Out of all the guns my wife picked up she liked the feel of their grip the best and it has a safety. The trigger pull is great, long easy take up single action feel so no transition feel from DA to SA after first shot/ double strike capability and not over priced. I have had many students using Taurus PT models none have had any malfunctions zero. One thing to note they feel more balanced with a loaded mag |
