The thing is that physics is physics. You can't get a pistol that small and light, while still cycling if you set it on a counter and pull the trigger remotely (basically what is happening with this extreme limp wristing.) If you don't need an extremely small and lightweight weapon, then the good news is you don't have to learn any technique to make it go bang each time. Me, I'll learn a little to be able to shoot a pistol so small that I can carry it EVERYWHERE.

My shooting is greatly enhanced with the P11 if I use a Hogue Handall Jr and the dovetail pinky extensions. After the first 400-500 rounds, I removed the Handall and carry with the two mags sans pinky extensions. I still shoot it periodically in the naked form to maintain a level of comfort.

The extensions and grip wrap are great for shooting - they suck for carry.

(Pic before and after. I swapped the grip from black to od, just for kicks.)

A trigger shoe and stop help a bit to with that loooooooong trigger.

How's the shoe help? Also, what does the stop do, where does it go, and how does it help?

The rubber grip makes the gun very sticky, whether in a pocket holster in IWB. It really impeded get the pistol out quickly. The finger extensions? The p11 is nicely rounded - it carries against your body pretty well. Some folks "melt" 'em for even better results in that arena. That dovetail mag extension, while it makes the gun more pleasant to shoot, digs into your body like a golf tee!

The shoe widens out that small trigger. Not so much that it feels unsafe, but enough that there is a greater surface area for your index finger when squeezing.

The stop... it is the little rubber piece you see inside the trigger guard, to the rear of the trigger. The loooooooong trigger pull of the P11 - well, the stop is set at the point of trigger travel reset - it gives a firm resistance at the end of travel and cuts down on... well, over travel.

So the stop actually just stops the trigger at the point of release and you have to give an extra tug to make it go bang?

No, that would be muy bad. It stops the trigger after the point of release. It just prevents the travel of the trigger going a whole lot further than the point of reset.

This was explained better here:

White Trigger Stop
Named after Bill White, this trigger stop is simple, cheap and recommended to improve control and trigger recovery speed. Take a standard #2 pencil eraser and cut it in half yielding two cylinders. Glue it to the back of the trigger with Crazy Glue or epoxy about 1/8 to 1/4 inch down from the set pin. Before gluing make sure the eraser clears the sharp edge on the grip frame where it engages the frame or it will be damaged over time. An alternative location is to mount the stop on the frame itself where it will engage the trigger. We have tried both locations and each works well. Trim and shape the eraser with a small file or emery board. Adjustment is done by filing the eraser until the "break" occurs just as the stop engages. Dry firing with sights on a clear target will enable you to see if the Trigger Stop forces you to squeeze to hard. A well adjusted stop will give you a staged feel when it engages, yet not cause a move off target when pulled through to fire. The stop enables you to stage the trigger and improve control on the first shot. Double taps will occur faster because of the trigger's reduced over travel. For cosmetics, apply black magic marker to the eraser and it blends in perfectly with the gun making it look factory original. This is a great low cost modification that has no downside. Simple, cheap, easy, safe. If the trigger stop falls off, the gun will still fire in an emergency. This is a highly recommended modification that anyone can do.

Hell of a riggin job, but it kinda sounds worth it. I've already figured out where i can somewhat safely stage the trigger before firing and where it's at its breaking point. Unfortunatly it won't be automatic to me without more practice. Then again automatic could be dangerous in the heat of the moment. Also, makin the stop look original would be hard with the OD Green. I think I could benefit from this setup though.

Also, the mag extenders, while they may be a literal pain, I think the Pros will outweigh the Cons. Even if it becomes too burdensome, I can always use one and not the other. Besides, if I need the second clip, I'm in deep poopy and need every shot to count anyway! The fact that they will dig into my gut won't be much of an issue anyway as my IWB holster sits pretty low and was made for the Sigma. It fits nice and tight regardless and is still easy to draw, but I believe the extender will sit somewhat flush. If not, they should be easy to file down and smooth out. Besides, 30% the time I've carried this sweetheart she's been in my pocket since I usually have big pockets and she's so small.

Also, if there's anyone on the westside with a PF9 and would like to trade guns for a few minutes just to compare...

Having given the P3AT an honest go of it... and then 2 years later giving the LCP a shot... there is no comparison. The LCP is twice, if not more, the pistol the P3AT hopes to be.

Marvel at the wonder which is the LCP.
