And as it stands now, I would not buy a new Kimber. If they improve their QA/QC to where it was before the advent of the "Series II" guns, then I'd consider it, but not before.

Curious how those $450 Taurus PT1911s work pretty well, eh?

Ummm... too late. If you're gonna live on the risky side, go for broke. On the other hand, I do not reload or use reloads.

My Taurus was fine. The finish was not very good, but other than that it did fine. The sights were Heinie which I hate, but other than that - great.

I think I nearly gave the guy Lars traded with a heart attack though, when I told him I hadn't yet met a Glock I enjoyed shooting.

The Sigs are great guns... For those that only want one pistol. Us Glock people like to buy a Glock AND a backup gun for the same money.

So I guess it's a good thing I got rid of one SIG and am considering selling the other one, to bring my inventory back down to one.

The 250 has taken away my only complaint about the Sig. I don't like differing trigger pulls. Nothing wrong with carrying a Sig. It is a fine weapon.

W9Z, Good choice. I normally buy most/all of my mags from cdnn. Glock just increased price of their mags so they're now almost half what an hk mag runs.
