July 18th NWI Meet & Eat

Well its settled July 18th noon is our next Meet & Eat in the Porter Co area. Barring any delay of game by the mods we are looking for a BBQ place to eat. This poll will be open for 3 weeks after which I will Post the final thread for attendance and various restaurant links if any for the winner. Choices are Wagner's Ribs, Smokey's Southern BBQ (cash only and about 20 seating max), Kelsey's steakhouse portage at 400pm, Bartlett's Gourmet Grill and Tavern in Beverly Shores, Industrial Revolution, and if we have a general consensus for a write in I will add it to the list.

Bartlett's (wife & I didn't have BBQ, but enjoyed everything else) and Wagner's are both good. Never been to Smokey's.

Kelsey's food quality and service keeps going down hill. Friday night and half full at best a couple months ago. It's not what it used to be IMO.

Just verified Kelsey's in portage closing its doors June 13th. Not.surprised as ballstater said quality and service has gone down hill. Count me in though on wherever is decided upon. Haven't had Wagner's in probably 10 years but know they were good. Smokeys was always a good choice too, but once again been a few years since eating there also

Dickey's is a chain store on 6 in Portage, never have stopped in, but looks small. Just throwing this out there.

I have been to Dickey's and the food was cold when served to us. On a good note, the grandson loved the free ice cream cones (2or 3) with the meal.

Yeah I saw that but doubt they would have room to fit based off the prior eats roughly 20 of us, and some of the guys that work in my yard didn't have too much good to say about the food.
