On my Gen2 GLOCK 19 I replaced the aging Meprolight night sites with a set of Ameriglo EMS Claw sights from I.C.E. Training. Rob Pincus designed the plain black rear sight with a "hooked" front face to it so that it becomes a "claw" for use in emergency one handed slide manipulations.
This time I purchased the set that has the Ameriglo Lumi Square front sight. It features a big square of photoluminescent yellow paint. In the dark, shine a light source on it for a second or two and it will brightly glow yellow/green at first then fade over a half hour or so. If you are carrying your handgun you should have a handheld light even if you have a weapon mounted light.
These sights are a great upgrade over the factory polymer GLOCK sights and a great cost saving over tritium night sights. Price for the set from the I.C.E. Training store is $40
