Hello from Avon

Hi all,

Fenway made me post here -- just joking!

I'm really glad to find such a lively bunch of fellow Hoosier gunowners. I've already learned a few things about the finer points of Indiana law that I didn't know.

I've been a gunowner since I was twelve. I mostly shot .22 and my trusty 20GA when I was a kid, punching holes in paper and killing skeet. My dad, a former LEO, taught me to shoot as did the Boy Scouts. I went to college through ROTC and got to play with much bigger toys in the Army. I was in the Reserves for just over 10 years and still miss the Colt 1911 I used to carry -- until they went and replaced it with the Baretta.

Now I mostly shoot 1911's and .22 at the Marion County Fish and Game club. I'm teaching my boys to shoot and let Number One Son try my old 20GA the other day -- don't think he's quite ready for shotguns yet.

Just today I picked up a new toy, the Mossberg 590A1, the military model. Took me a long time to find it but finally got it from a little shop down in NC. I'm thinking tomorrow is too nice to spend all day working....
