New member here hailing from Fort Wayne. I'm a 5th year student at Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute working on a degree in Computer Science. As soon as I can get my degree finished up, I'm planning on joining the USMC to be a pilot.

I got my first gun as a graduation present this summer from my dad and older brother. It's a compact .40SW Springfield XD, and I've been really happy with it.

I'm hoping to find and share good information on this site, and I'm looking forward to finding out about open carry events I can attend.

U.S.M.C. pilot huh? Check out the movie: "The Great Santini" starring Robert Duvall. It's a true story, and was filmed on Beaufort, S.C. Marine air station while I was stationed there. A friend of mine had a '56 Chevy Belair that was used as a background vehicle in the movie.
GREAT movie, SCREWED-UP Marine, but a great movie regardless.
