I finally joined (from Fishers)

Hello all. I must confess that I've been lurking here for quite some time. I finally decided to join and can hopefully start to contribute.

My name is Andy and I live in Fishers. I've already met a couple of forum members.

I'm brand new to the gun world, though I'm 45 years old. I bought my first gun in September. It was an XDM 9mm. I've already bought my 2nd one, a Ruger Mark III 22/45. I've put over 1K rounds through each so far and I'm having fun learning. I've picked up a lot from these boards.

The first thing I wanted to do was to take a safety class. I took the NRA basic pistol class from forum member IndyGunSafety. Great guy, great class, and a great weekend. I will be signing up for advanced classes as I get a little better.

My screen name is one that I've used multiple times. In this context, it does not stand for "Home Defense". I own a silver Harley Davidson Heritage Softail.

I'm looking forward to meeting others and learning more about my new hobby.
