![]() | New west-central Indy member Figured I should go ahead and join, since I've been lurking here for the last few months. Just moved in a year ago to the Indy area with my wife, but both of us have lived in/around central Indy our entire lives. I've done a moderate amount of shooting with my dad & little brother a while back, but haven't been able to pool enough cash to purchase a few guns & gunsafe yet. Plenty of time for all that later though. Not sure what all else to put here, since lunch has me in a carb-coma. |

![]() | More info Wow, that first post of mine was really vague. I live just down the road from Pike High School on the west side of Indy, just a ways north of Eagle Creek park. I used to live (and at the time, shoot) over in Fortville. Got a couple of ideas for my first few firearms, mostly stuff with sentimental value like a .22 Marlin and the Ruger Mark III pistol. From there I'm looking at the hideously expensive HK SL8-6, FN PS90, and FN FS2000, although when I'll ever be able to afford them is anyone's guess. I'd need a place to store them offsite in a gunsafe though, since my wife and I have a standing "no guns in the house" agreement. Any thoughts as to how feasible & secure renting a storage unit would be for that sort of thing? |
