After clearing the Kansas State Senate & House, Governor Sam Brownback has signed into law the 2nd Amendment Protection Act!
    This bill states:

Any act, law, treaty, order, rule or regulation of the government of the United States which violates the second amendment to the constitution of the United States is null, void and unenforceable in the state of Kansas....

But does not stop there. It includes a definition of what the 2nd Amendment means, and clarifies that it isn't based off of any decision by the US Supreme Court:

The second amendment to the constitution of the United States reserves to the people, individually, the right to keep and bear arms as that right was understood at the time that Kansas was admitted to statehood in 1861, and the guaranty of that right is a matter of contract between the state and people of Kansas and the United States as of the time that the compact with the United States was agreed upon and adopted by Kansas in 1859 and the United States in 1861.

Will this embolden our elected officials sufficiently enough to do the right thing for Hoosier liberty?

    NOT the same Bill!

    Different bill, my friend.
The bill you link to, regards carry, and the recognition of permits from other states....
The 2nd Amendment Protection Bill, was signed only yesterday afternoon.
IMHO, the 2nd Amendment Protection Act has an impact above & beyond any other positive legislation that has been passed by ANY state!
In defining both the Compact -as it was entered into when Kansas agreed to become part of the Union- and the 2nd Amendment -as intended and understood at the time Kansas became a state- the legislation makes null & void many of the 'arguements' used by those who would violate the inalienable rights of the citizen.

Way to go Brownback. KS has been on a role, this bill passes, reciprocity passes, and they are now going to drug test welfare recipients.
