Well, good for them. Nice to see that their law will have some teeth to it, too. Telling your cops to arrest feds who try to enforce federal gun laws takes some 'nads. Be interesting to see if the cops will actually do that, should this law get passed. Usually, many, if not most, cops are jumping all over themselves to help out the feds, and now they may have to arrest them.

Hope this law is more than symbolic.

It probably will be in its actual effectiveness. However, I have no problem with states enacting such laws to nullify the federal government when it has overstepped its limits. It's worked with marijuana and gay marriage. To be more effective, more states will have to enact similar legislation.

Most cops I know don't do that, but that's only about 1,500ish. Regardless I'd move to Missouri if they pull it off. I'd like a full auto SBS saiga 12.

Again folks, for the umpteenth time, this concept of invoking state nullification of federal law(s) is simply a waste of time. It does not exist, it is without functional precedent, and the U.S. Constitution specifically bans it. Simply a waste of perfectly good energy that can be spent better on more realistic goals.

Except these states did not enact "nullification laws" they simple decriminalized these acts within their own states. Big difference between that and saying you are going to arrest federal agents for enforcing federal law.

Well, SJR-36 has been voted on and passed 23-10. Now it moves onto their house for consideration and a vote there. It's really going to be interesting to see how this goes. The usual suspects in blue came out against it, as was expected. But it passed anyway. Good for the senators! While this may be simply symbolic, it does contain teeth and elevates the right to carry to an unalienable right. That's a pretty big step they're taking. This article gives a lot of background on it. A good read from the 10th Amendment Center.
