The following was posted by an Australian shooter on another forum I frequent. The person referred to is David Shoebridge an "MP" (member of parliament) of the Aussie "Greens" party. He's coming to the USA to spread his lies.

This is his press release and he's definitely going no where near anybody who's got anything pro gun as that would destroy his own warped view of the world.

The Adler shotgun is a 12g LEVER ACTION shotgun that has a 7 shot capacity mag BUT according to the anti gun and media scare tactics it's a rapid firing new technology weapon.......................new technology? 130 year old action?

This is what the these lying bastards are using as a catalyst to try and get the Adler moved from a Cat A available to anybody with a gun licence to a Cat D which is almost impossible to get BUT what it also does is it makes any lever action rifle also a target for these lying bastards.

We have time and time again pointed out that the action is the same as a lever action rifle that is available to any gun owner but there is this ill informed group who don't want to know about this and this also includes top ranking Police who are probably looking for a political career after they leave the Force

Media release: Greens MP embarks on guns tour of Trump’s America

    November 28, 2016 in Firearms 0
    Media release

    28 November 2016

Greens MP David Shoebridge will be beginning a trip to Trump’s America today to discuss gun control policies, compare the two countries’ gun lobbies and what it might all mean under a Trump Administration.

While Australia is considered by many the envy of the world when it comes to gun control laws, there is a growing and disturbing gun culture in Australia that is perpetuated by a growing number of pro-gun MP’s in Parliaments across the country.

In Austin, Denver, Baltimore, Washington, New York and Boston David will be meeting with politicians, academics, emergency services personnel, victims and families, and gun control advocates. An itinerary is available on request.

Greens MP and Gun Control Spokesperson David Shoebridge said:

“We have seen Shooters MP’s frequently visit the United States to pick up campaigning tools and import the US gun lobby’s rhetoric into Australia.

“The big lie from the US is that the only cause of gun violence is criminals and poor mental health however all the evidence suggests otherwise.

“Australian gun laws are the envy of the world, but with pro-gun MP’s in Parliaments across the country we have seen consistent efforts to water down our gun control laws.
“Whether it is the importation of the Adler shotgun, the introduction of silencers or the return of duck hunting, we have seen deal after deal delivering for the Australian gun lobby.

“In 1996 Australia responded with political courage to the Port Arthur massacre where 35 people died. It was an unimaginable tragedy, but a turning point in our gun control laws with a gun buyback and the National Firearms Agreement.

“With America suffering countless mass shootings, 352 just this year, it is essential to see firsthand how the dangerous US gun lobby is stopping US legislators from acting.

“The US gun lobby has targeted Australia’s gun laws as their prime international enemy because they can see how effective they are. This is a chance for a reality check given the fact that Americans are ten times more likely to be killed by guns than people in comparable countries.

“With new figures suggesting that there are more guns than people in the United States, we will be meeting with politicians, academics, emergency services personnel, victims and families, and gun control advocates to see how they got to this point and where to go from here.” Mr Shoebridge said.

Shoebridge is clearly quite a tool! I hope he gets a warm reception.

    Where's the bacon?
    Hey Shoebridge,

Just exactly what has happened to crime other than with guns in Oz since 1996? If your gun laws are "the envy of the world", and are so effective, then no crimes at all are committed with guns there, right?

How many people die because they can't effectively resist a younger, stronger thug, or group thereof, who want what the honest person has earned?

Finally, what kind of security detail do you have, personally, if any? Do they have guns, or are they the "Stop! or I'll say 'Stop!' again!" variety?

    Blessings,
    Bill

So the disarmed Aussies are paying for this clown to come here and find out how he can disarm them more? I'm starting to feel the same way about Aussies as I do about Democrats.
