Hello INGO-types! Kelly (in Avon) here with a review of the new Gander Mountain in (where else) Avon, Indiana.

420 round cans of XM193LC 5.56 on stripper clips: $50 more than at the Wal-Mart 300 yards to the west.
Glock 17 Gen 3: $110 more than the one in the case at Fort Liberty 1 mile to the west.

Nuff said.

They did have 1000 rd cases of Remington UMC 9mm for 27 cents a round when I was there last week. But yeah, everything else is pretty overpriced.

The Gander in Fort Wayne is getting better, at least in the 9mm. Saw more there today than I've seen yet this year and decent pricing too. At least I don't have to wait around 20 minutes for somebody to open the damn ammo case (I've done that 3 times now). That 5.56 ammo price is pretty bad though.

I saw 45 ACP Blazer brass at Lafayette Gander for 20 bucks/50. Thats the best price I've sene in 5 yrs on it in a store

FYI Gander Mountain will price match...they had .17 Win. Super mag. 25 gr. for $17.99, they called Walmart next door and priced it at $14.27, saved $11.16, bought 3 boxes! Any where I shop I ask for Mil/Vet., senior or any thing else I can get. My understanding is on any thing in store! Ammo , guns , etc.!! Take the edge off and be nice, works for me! They just work there, make them feel good about helping you! There you go........

Pretty bad is an understatement. 200.00 more for 1000rds of bulk xm855.
Stopped in yesterday looking for p223 mounts. They did not have any on hand but went looking thru optics to see if the had the burris I am considering.
They had the AR332 listed for 409.99, that is nearly 100.00 more than anywhere else I have found it.
It really needs to be something I can't wait for for me to purchase from them.

yesterday, i paid $13.50 per 50 rounds for 9mm luger in gander mt in spring tx....i bought several....that is the same $$$ at the recent gun show for a box of 22lr........

The greenwood gander is pretty bad also I stopped in to check out some .45 ammo and all they had in 45 was golden sabers at the time for just about 1.90 a rd

I have been buying all my ammo in bulk online, there are many different sites that offer good prices and brands in bulk and you can shop around until you find the best price. It will also be delivered right to your door, and that makes it a no brainer for me.
