either way, you can still drop a loaded glock and it won't fire. Safe-action FTW

Safe action or not, I can drop any of my Smith K-Frames and they won't fire either! My 1911's on the other hand are of the original pre series 80 design, so I"ll try and keep myself from throwing it down range. Being a 5" barrel and solid stainless steel, I figure it'd make a better club than a plastic framed Glock!

Why? A 9mm Glock will do more damage thrown.

Back to the OP, I have been in Bradis a few times and realistically, the quality of customer has gone down (Obama Panic is bringing out everyone and their brother). There are a lot more folks that seem to come in and want to turn a gun purchase into a "my brother owned a .44" or similar tale of blowing things up in a unrealistic way.

A few stores have been going down a bit. Bradis is doing their best to stay up though and I commend them for it. If only they carried powder and primers, I would be all over them. Bob in Plainfield is getting on the "fleece 'em" side. I saw their current reloading bullet pricing (which WAS just slightly higher than online) and was shocked. His pricing is now DOUBLE in some cases as to online. Rex who works in there says it is due to that no one can get the components. Bear in mind my order I placed last week for higher quality components at good prices and recieved them Friday. When I told Rex of this, he got pissed and told me it was the distributor. I am throughly sickened by this blase attitude towards the customer and the customer's intelligence.

Bradis does a good job, they are a good gun outlet. As for stories told regarding a piece of weapon's capabilities, maybe they should stick to the brochure answer, rather than some fairytale of throwing loaded guns. Our industry already suffers from a "negligent" atmosphere, propagated by those who are frightened of guns. We dont want to continue the image of recklessness. They do a good job on pricing, not giving into the price raises that others throw around. Good job on that Bradis!

Thanks for the ups; we try! My personal mission as an employee there is and always has been to treat my customers how I would want to be treated in a gun shop – professionally, at least somewhat cordially, and with straight no-BS information.

Bradis is quickly becoming my store of choice. I've found nothing but knowledgeable staff and an eagerness to help me when they don't have what I want.

I've also enjoyed working with the folks at Plainfield. I won't jump to conclusions because I find a better price on the web. They don't sell the volume that some on-line outfits sell, so they won't get preferential treatment by the distributor because of it. Manufacturers are raising prices, too, and so will distributors. The best on-line sources are priced higher than ever, too.

A lot of folks believe in supply and demand and the free market until it becomes inconvenient. Everyone should be patient. Barring regulation, the prices will come down. Suppliers are ramping up production at a fever pitch. As soon as demand falls, so will the price--possibly dramatically. The wild-card is the threat of regulation.

Oil sure came down when demand choked. I never thought we'd see oil below 100 bucks a barrel again.

One other thing--I've had salesmen take their time in helping me and answering my million questions even in the middle of a Saturday frenzy. I'm not particularly handsome, rich, or special in any way, so it told me that they try to care about each customer.

And then only throw the slide. The grip is the registered part that you have to meet with an FFL to get replaced and it less than 0.2 oz empty. The slide is where the weight is.

Don't know... if you thow it still loaded it's not as likely to blow up in your hand

Where is Bradi's, and are they open Mondays?

Neither are we, so we can't afford to play favorites with our customers!

On Kentucky Ave (SR 67) about 3-1/2 miles south of I-465 on the far southwest side of Indy, and yes.
